Catechesis of the Good Shepherd is Coming to St. Anthony's

Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) is a Catholic religious education program for children ages 3-6 based on Montessori principles. Since its founding in 1954, CGS has spread throughout the United States. Several area parishes – including Holy Spirit in Fargo and St. Joe’s in Moorhead – have active CGS programs, and we will be starting our own program here at St. Anthony’s this Fall. Through CGS, the youngest of our parish community will experience God with a sense of awe and wonder through a prepared environment called the atrium, presentations from a trained guide, and work with hands on materials. At the heart of CGS is the relationship of the child with Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who calls them each by name. Registration details and more information will be available in upcoming weeks.
